Personally, I think going forward in the slide toward the end, it'd be more fun to have things we haven't seen crop up (i.e. non-damage-sustaining-earthquakes and fires have both happened multiple times), simply for the shake-up, rather than the repetition of already-done-things. Damages that actually last and don't get reset, for one example, since resets cheapen the loss of those things.
And I know a lot of it is meant to be pretty circular and ill-defined and unresolved by the end, but more answers to aspects of the lore that the characters have invested a lot of time investigating as it's come up in play. Give those players some kind of payoff for their efforts in digging into the lore you created through the course of the game.
