special spooky halloween sign-up!
Hello, my lovely ghouls and goblins! Due to the resounding support in favor of a special spooky Halloween event, I'm here with a bit of planning and plotting for you to consider. (Also, see the updated calendar; this event takes place on Day 010.)
This will be a time-intensive "live" event. Options 1 and 2 require a lot of back-and-forth between mod and players, so please only select one of these if you will be available Halloween weekend. (I'd originally intended for this to be a one-day intensive event, but since my holiday weekend plans consist of Baby Yoda and some Animal Crossing, I can be available most of Friday-Sunday.) Option 3 is perfect for those who still want a spook but are busy that weekend.

With these possibilities in mind, I need everyone who wants to participate to sign up here so I can plan things for you. Explorations and Encounters may be solo or pair/group events, while Revelations are solo only events. Choose wisely and prepare for potential consequences. :D

scheduling: i'm on gmt+2 so anything from 9pm my time onward is aces.
notes: disposition-wise, kylo is low-key furious about his present circumstances and still half-suspects that hux is to blame for his being stranded on this planet. as to specific locations, he would ideally like to try to find the location of the group photo mentioned on the first log. still, he would settle for getting beyond whatever magical boundary is keeping them currently contained.

scheduling: CST -- all day friday and all day sunday work for me with a break for an hour or two around 5-6. saturday only from 1 or so with that same break.
notes: Quentin's new and still trying to figure out why they're all here -- if it helps, he's convinced he's dead and this is some sort of purgatory, and he'll most likely be combing the woods. It's possible a location spell for a person from his homeworld leads him astray, although any place like a town hall or government/official building will pique his interest if there's any.

scheduling: Friday (10/30) after 8PM (PST). Saturday (10/31) after 8PM. Sunday (11/1) after 4PM.
notes: John's major fixation on the town is what's causing the fear, specifically on the beach when he's arrived. He's convinced there is a something or someone behind people in the town going missing and the group's arrival. He also is convinced that whatever 'It' (as he is referring to the this idea) is, it's very dark, possibly evil.

AN UNEXPECTED EXPLORATION
scheduling: We're both around Friday (between working), Saturday and Sunday (between working for Sarah and between life things for Arma).
notes: They're both investigative types and will be actively looking for more information about the town/locations as part of their general MO. Lots of opportunity for them to stumble across something new anywhere you like.
Doc Holliday and Jill Valentine
scheduling: Friday night (9.30pm~11.30pm), Saturday morning (9am~1pm) Or Saturday night (9.30pm~11.30pm) in EST
notes: I think we're doing this together? 😆 sorry so disorganised. I'll ask the Jill player to reply to this to confirm and also add what she's been fixated on. Otherwise I'm happy to go solo! Quite flexible with this.
For his part Doc has been actively looking for transport, assuming it can take him out of here, so he might follow the beach along further than he has before looking for a dock or port, or some kind of railroad tracks.
He might have also camped in the general store at the cigarillo cabinet (assuming there are some along with the cigarettes, otherwise he will settle for normal cigarettes) and just stared at the empty shelf heavy breathing like a stalker trying to catch whoever is restocking their supplies. Or get bamboozled by stuff magically appearing.

Jill is fixated on bioterrorism because it reminds her of the town in the Caucasus Mountains but also because it's just... her thing. She'll be looking primarily for hints of things underground, hospitals, clandestine facilities. However, when made aware of specific things from others -- such as transport, particularly by water -- she'll join them in their search. She's more interested in the woods than anything else, hoping to find bunkers, silos, sheds, anything that might lead somewhere else.
In terms of hanging out, she doesn't sleep much and primarily drops her head at the boarding house in short shifts.
A HORRIFYING ENCOUNTER

scheduling: i’m on est, and likely will be available on friday: 9pm/10pm on, & saturday morning like 9am-12 & sunday evening 7pm on, with some very likely intermittent availability throughout those days too!
notes: oh boy what hasn’t been bothering this gremlin. the lack of time, the lack of discernible timeline existence, let alone numbers. that the clues of anything happening here only confuse the issue. which boils down to the fact that this is something he distinctly doesn’t understand. which he hates - the thought of being stuck again, of accepting that this is something out of his control, which I think is the worst part for him. he is unlikely to give up looking for a solution, which certainly can get him into a lot of trouble. in terms of personal fixation, it’s definitely the need to leave - specifically because he needs to check on his family. he’s still in a fragile state of mind from everything he had to do in the whirlwind of two weeks (thinking back to the board of directors and how that’s likely the closest he’s been to breaking tbh), and there’s the irrational panicky fear that he’ll return to find his family as corpses and having failed again. ergo, his fixation is finding anything that will lead him to leaving. never mind that his powers don’t work the way they should especially when it comes to time hopping. it’s a weird mix of pride and fear and anger. i would love to toss him at a horrifying situation honestly, whatever you think is best to tailor to him or place!

(But I'm just working during those hours and sometimes work can be pretty slow so I might be able to get at least a tag or two done during that as well).
notes: As he's just arrived, there's nothing that Eliot's really had a chance to attach himself to ~mystery wise~ so honestly, consider this a wildcard. I'm easy with whatever you want to throw at him.

scheduling: i'm on pst and tbh my availability is in constant flux, i'm usually around in the evenings but when exactly is always changing.
notes: zed's finally accepted she's here. she still feels off-balance with her powers not really working (if you wanted to do something with her having a vision, getting feelings off something, etc; i'm down) but is trying to make the best of what's happening and where she is. she's unsettled in general by everything that's going on (the voices/whispers in particular really bothered her).

Claire Novak
scheduling: I'm off work all day on Friday, which would mean your morning to early evening works well for me. I work on Saturday, but am around in your afternoon/early evening. Sunday I work and run D&D, but will also be around sporadically in your afternoon/early evening.
notes: Claire has been feeling powerless and helpless. She has an intense need to get back to her family, because she's worried the others have been scattered by the portal too, and she's still struggling with massive survivor's guilt over Kaia dying. Claire blames herself for that, too, and is channelling that into feeling protective of the people in Mathias, while at the same time feeling impotent to do anything and make a difference. She's currently fixated on the door and finding a map/information on Mathias, and trying to find something to fight/kill/hurt - and feeling, of course, utterly not in control because no such thing is to be had. Feel free to roll her state as an angel vessel and ex-werewolf in there, too.
A FUTURE REVELATION

selection: Coulson strikes a deal with the Spirit of Vengeance in order to take down a threat, and a consequence of said deal is that the procedure that brought him back from the dead effectively gets reversed, meaning he'll eventually die.
