How about a bit of normalcy in Mathias before things get spooky?
Malcolm Bright - Prodigal Son - Days 7-11
For those who aren't familiar with his canon, Malcolm is on a lot of medication for his various mental illnesses, including benzos for anxiety, antidepressants and antipsychotics, none of which he will have access to here. They aren't his only coping mechanism, but they're a major one that he's been using for a long time, which means there will be a period when he's dealing with both an increase in his symptoms and withdrawal, on top of spooky Mathias stuff.
I'm sure it will be fine >.>
Anyway. Here is what I've got and am open to stuff:
Day 7 - Arrival. His OTA is here. I don't know where he's going to live at this point; I expect that to be influenced by his interactions with people that day.
Day 8 - He starts experiencing withdrawal and increased anxiety/mania/possibly hallucinations. He'll be trying to deal with it by keeping busy, so he'll be around. Investigating. His working theory is that this is some sort of contrived situation and they're imprisoned by someone in charge of it. Like an escape room designed by a psychopath. He knows nothing of magic or the like. It's the only RATIONAL explanation but his reason is not on its firmest ground at this point.
Day 9 - Increased withdrawal and increased symptoms and likely he will have seen some shit by this time without rational explanations. Open for stuff here.
Day 10 - Halloween Event exploration with Raylan Givens. A cowboy will find out how on a knife's edge this maniac is off his meds. He might also raid the general store and decide it's worth trying cigarettes to calm himself down. People say smoking calms their nerves, right?
Day 11 - Raylan will find him with some moonshine bc he needs something. Withdrawal still bad and will be for another solid day or two. And after that? He still has to live with all the problems he's been on the meds for his whole adult life.
He is super curious by nature and investigating crimes - LIKE THIS BLATANT KIDNAPPING OF THEM ALL - is one of the things he does normally to stay out of his own head.
If there is anything in particular you want to do or any way in particular you want your character to run into him, let me know. Otherwise I will be putting daily logs for any random encounter you'd like to throw someone at.
